This sonnet touches on personal loss. As the woman is grieving her lovers loss, she recognizes that the only thing she has left of him is their memories that they had together. And although this is an important thing to have, these memories are holding her captive and not letting her move on with her life. She has to find a contrast between remembering her loved one and allowing herself to contiune on in her life.
ENGLISH SONNET- HIS SONG
His Song touches on how much music can impact a relationship. Throughout this sonnet, a woman is captured by a man’s music and envisions their relationship together. It is a if his music takes her to a new reality and once it stops, the illusion fades almost fades.

This poem shows how seasons bring new beginnings and allow someone to forget their hardships of the past. Every season change is nature’s way of moving on.
My final work I would like to talk about is, my play, Where is Princess? This is a different work for myself because I try and incorporate humor to get my theme across. In this play, you meet Mrs.McCalister, a wealthy older woman, who treats the hotel staff very poorly. She doesn’t see their hard work and kindness and instead complains and insults the staff throughout the whole play. Only when she is on the ground after her dog goes missing does she realize how beautiful the hotel really is. This One Act Play touches on the entitlement some wealthy people hold over the poor and the only way entitled people become humbled is when they too go through rough times themselves.
